1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Classfinity ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

Classfinity is an educational web application that integrates with Google Classroom to provide a platform for teachers, students, and parents to engage in continuous feedback and learning reflection. The Service allows:

  • Teachers to sync classes from Google Classroom and provide feedback on student work
  • Students to view their grades, write self-reflections, and track their progress
  • Parents/Guardians to view their child's educational progress (when enabled)

3. User Accounts and Access

To use Classfinity, you must:

  • Have a valid Google account with access to Google Classroom
  • Be authorized by your educational institution to use the Service
  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

Access to the Service is currently restricted to invited users only. Unauthorized access attempts are prohibited.

4. Google Classroom Integration

Classfinity requires access to your Google Classroom data to function. By using the Service, you grant Classfinity permission to:

  • Read your Google Classroom courses and course information
  • Read coursework, assignments, and student submissions
  • Read student rosters and grades (for teachers)
  • Access rubric scores and feedback data

This access is used solely to provide the Service's functionality. You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful data

6. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload through the Service, including:

  • Student reflections and self-assessments
  • Teacher feedback and comments
  • Any other content you submit through the Service

By using the Service, you grant Classfinity a license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you submit.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Service Availability

Classfinity strives to provide reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Classfinity shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may terminate your account at any time by revoking access through your Google Account settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
